What is ImmersiX?

ImmersiX is a multi-content app poised to revolutionize visual storytelling across any Open XR headset, including the Meta Quest. ImmersiX seamlessly blends the creative essence of immersion with the scientific power of six degrees of freedom (6DoF), bridging the worlds of art, science, and technology in ways never seen before.

Will more movies be released on ImmersiX?

More content will be released on ImmersiX in the near future. Keep an eye on our Steam page or follow us on our social media channels to be among the first to try new content.

Do I need a VR headset to use ImmersiX?

Yes, an OpenXR compatible headset is required for playing immersive movies through ImmersiX.

Why does the application require much SSD storage space?

Immersive content requires more storage than regular 2D or even 360° movies as the entire scene is captured and stored as a point cloud. We are continuously improving our technology and already use various optimisations to keep the required storage as small as possible.

Why is an NVIDIA GPU required?

At the moment, an NVIDIA graphics card is required for using the ImmersiX application. We are utilising the NVDEC feature which is available on NVIDIA GPUs.

1. Why does ImmersiX fail to launch or crash immediately?

This issue often arises from insufficient GPU resources or incompatible hardware. Ensure your system meets the minimum requirements:

• GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti or higher

• RAM: At least 16 GB

• VRAM: Minimum 8 GB dedicated

Does ImmersiX support AMD GPUs?

Currently, ImmersiX primarily supports NVIDIA GPUs. However, the developers are actively working on AMD compatibility and have made progress in internal testing. Stay tuned for official updates regarding AMD support.

What does the error "Could not create heap for ring buffer" mean?

This error indicates a failure in allocating necessary GPU memory, often due to hardware limitations. Users with GPUs below the recommended specifications, such as the GTX 1060, may encounter this issue. Upgrading to a supported GPU is advised.

How can I resolve the "nvcuda.dll not found" error?

This error suggests that the application is attempting to access NVIDIA CUDA drivers, which are absent on AMD systems. My VR controllers aren't responding in ImmersiX. What should I do?

How do I set up ImmersiX with my VR headset?

The application stutters or buffers during playback. How can I improve performance?

Why does the "Construct" video appear pixelated?

The "Construct" video utilizes an older version of ImmersiX's technology, which may result in lower visual quality. Upcoming content will feature enhanced visuals and improved technology.

What content is currently available in ImmersiX?

ImmersiX offers immersive experiences like "Construct VR" and "Weightless" that are completely free experiences and "Sharkarma-Guardians of the Ocean" an ocean adventure movie designed for 6DoF VR storytelling. Additional content is in development and will be released in future updates.
