# ImmersiX Privacy Policy for Meta Horizon Store

{% hint style="info" %}
This Privacy Policy explains how V-Nova Limited processes information in connection with the ImmersiX application distributed through the Meta Horizon Store and the streaming service made available through it.
{% endhint %}

### Who we are

V-Nova Limited ("V-Nova", "we", "us" or "our") is the data controller for personal data that V-Nova processes in connection with ImmersiX. V-Nova Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11125008), with its registered office at Level 2, 20 Eastbourne Terrace, Paddington, London, England, W2 6LG, United Kingdom.

For the purposes of the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, V-Nova determines the purposes and means of the processing described in this policy.

### Scope and relationship with Meta

This policy applies to information processed by or for V-Nova when you install, access or use the ImmersiX application (the "App") and the related streaming service (the "Service") through a Meta Horizon device or account.

Meta separately operates the Meta Horizon platform, Meta accounts, the Meta Horizon Store, device operating systems and certain platform services. Meta may process information for its own purposes under its own privacy terms. This policy does not describe information processed solely by Meta in its independent capacity.

For information about Meta's own privacy practices, see the [Meta Privacy Policy](https://www.meta.com/privacy/policy/).

### Account position and basic privacy model

The App is designed to operate without requiring you to create separate ImmersiX login credentials with V-Nova. We do not ask you to register directly with us using your name, email address or phone number in order to browse or stream content in the App. V-Nova maintains a backend service record associated with an app-scoped Meta user identifier so that we can administer entitlements, rental or consumption status, stream authorisation, security, support and session logging. That Meta identifier is linked in our systems to the installation, Firebase and session identifiers used for those purposes.

You access the App through the Meta Horizon environment. Meta manages your Meta account and processes payments made through the Meta Horizon Store or Meta in-app purchase systems. V-Nova does not collect or receive your payment-card or bank-account details for those transactions.

Even without separate ImmersiX login credentials, V-Nova processes certain platform, technical, entitlement, usage, security and diagnostic information to operate, protect and improve the Service. Some of this information may be personal data even if it does not directly identify you by name.

### Information we process

The categories of information V-Nova may process in connection with the App and Service include:

* Meta Horizon platform information made available to the App, such as an app-scoped Meta user identifier, entitlement status and purchase or transaction-status information, and other platform information needed for features that the App uses.
* Technical and operational usage information, such as app-open events, title or content identifiers, play requests, session timing, streaming duration, entitlement checks and session success or failure.
* Performance and diagnostic information, such as app and framework version, device or headset model, operating-system or platform version, connection quality, latency, available bandwidth, streaming bitrate, packet loss, decoding time, frame rate, streaming-quality scores, error codes and crash or fault information.
* Device-level, app-scoped, transaction-linked or similar technical identifiers and security signals, such as an installation identifier stored in local device or browser storage, a Firebase anonymous user identifier, session identifiers and CloudXR/GFN session identifiers, used to run, secure and protect the Service, administer entitlements and prevent fraud or misuse.
* Device and locale context, such as country or region derived from device locale, language or locale, time zone and, where supported, battery level and charging state at the start or end of a streaming session.
* XR interaction signals necessary to present and control the immersive experience, such as headset orientation or position and controller or hand-interaction inputs made available by the Meta Horizon operating environment.
* Optional issue-report content and related technical context when you choose to report a problem, together with support correspondence if you contact us through an external support channel.

#### Meta Horizon platform data

Where the App uses Meta platform features, Meta may make limited information available to V-Nova so that we can provide the requested feature. Depending on the feature, this may include an app-scoped Meta user identifier, entitlement information, purchase or transaction status, and an age-category signal from Meta's Age Category API. We use Meta-provided information only for the purposes described in this policy and in accordance with applicable Meta developer requirements.

#### XR device and interaction data

Immersive applications require the device to process movement and interaction signals in order to render content and respond to user input. The App therefore processes headset orientation or position and controller or hand-interaction signals on the device and, during an active streaming session, transmits the signals needed to the NVIDIA CloudXR/GDN cloud-streaming environment so that the requested immersive view can be rendered and controlled. V-Nova does not use these signals to build advertising profiles or for cross-app tracking. These raw signals are used only in real time while the stream is active. V-Nova does not retain raw headset position, rotation or pose samples, or raw controller or hand-tracking samples.

If a future ImmersiX feature requires additional device permissions or access to more sensitive device data, we will request the relevant platform permission where required and update this policy if the resulting processing is materially different from what is described here.

### Purchases, entitlements and transaction status

If you purchase paid content through Meta in-app purchase or the Meta Horizon Store, Meta processes the payment transaction. V-Nova may receive and process Meta-origin product, entitlement and transaction-status information, including transaction or purchase identifiers and refund or invalidation status, associated with your app-scoped Meta user identifier and needed to confirm access, administer paid content, understand sales performance, investigate errors or misuse, and respond to refunds, reversals or invalidated transactions.

V-Nova does not receive your full payment-card number, bank-account details or other payment credentials used by Meta to complete the transaction.

### Information generated by App and Service use

When you launch the App or stream content, the App and related backend systems may process technical and operational information such as service checks, device-level, installation, session or app-scoped identifiers, title or content identifiers, play requests, session start and end times, streaming duration, entitlement status, session success or failure, connection quality, latency, bandwidth, streaming-quality metrics, error codes and related diagnostics.

We may use this information to deliver the Service, troubleshoot faults, measure service reliability, protect content rights, detect security incidents, prevent unreasonable or abusive use of free content, identify misuse of entitlements and investigate refund-related invalidation or other suspected fraud.

### Optional issue reports and support requests

If the App provides an issue-reporting function and you choose to use it, we may process the text you submit together with technical context such as the App version, device or headset model, title, timestamp, session or error references and similar diagnostics needed to investigate the issue.

If you contact V-Nova through an external support channel, we will also process the contact information and correspondence you provide. Please do not send passwords, payment credentials or other information that is not needed to resolve the issue.

### Infrastructure and service providers

The Service depends on infrastructure and technical service providers that help us deliver streaming, host or operate systems, secure the Service, monitor performance, diagnose faults and provide support. For the Meta Horizon version, the Service uses NVIDIA CloudXR/GDN for cloud streaming and Google Firebase/Cloud Firestore for session and technical logging. Those providers may process connection, delivery, diagnostic or support information on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

We limit information shared with our infrastructure providers to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant service and require them to process it only for authorised purposes. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the App. Where Meta Horizon User Data is used for service-improvement reporting, we use resulting insights in aggregated or de-identified form where required by applicable Meta developer requirements.

### How we use information

We use the information described above to:

* provide the App and Service and stream requested content;
* verify entitlement and purchase status and administer access to free and paid titles;
* operate, maintain and secure the App and backend systems;
* detect and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access and misuse;
* investigate faults, crashes and user-reported issues;
* monitor performance, service quality and reliability;
* analyse use of the Service in order to improve functionality, capacity and user experience, using aggregated or de-identified analytics outputs where required by applicable Meta developer requirements;
* enforce our terms, content rights and technical restrictions; and
* comply with legal, regulatory, accounting and platform obligations.

### Legal basis

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we generally rely on one or more of the following:

* Performance of a contract, where processing is necessary to provide the App, streaming service or paid-content access that you request.
* Legitimate interests, where processing is necessary to operate, secure, support and improve the Service, prevent abuse, protect content rights and understand service performance using proportionate technical and, where appropriate, aggregated or de-identified usage information, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
* Legal obligation, where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law, tax or accounting requirements, regulatory duties or enforceable legal requests.
* Consent, where applicable law requires consent for a particular type of processing, storage or access technology, or device feature. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent subject to applicable law and device or App controls.

### Sharing of information

We do not sell personal data or Meta Horizon User Data. Where information is Meta Horizon User Data or Device User Data, we disclose it only as permitted by applicable Meta developer requirements. Subject to that restriction, we may disclose relevant information to:

* service providers that process information on our behalf for hosting, content delivery, security, monitoring, diagnostics or support;
* companies within the V-Nova corporate group where necessary to operate, support, secure or improve the Service;
* professional advisers, auditors and insurers where reasonably necessary;
* law-enforcement, courts, regulators or public authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law; and
* counterparties or advisers involved in a corporate transaction, legal dispute, rights-enforcement matter or investigation, subject to appropriate protections and, for Meta Horizon User Data or Device User Data, only where permitted by applicable Meta developer requirements.

We do not share Meta Horizon User Data with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes, and we do not permit service providers processing that data on our behalf to use it for their own independent purposes.

### International transfers

Information may be processed in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States and other countries in which V-Nova group companies or service providers operate. Where applicable law restricts international transfers of personal data, we use an applicable adequacy regulation or decision, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement and/or the UK Addendum, as appropriate, together with supplementary measures where required. You may contact us for further information about the safeguards used for a restricted transfer.

### Advertising, tracking and device storage

V-Nova does not use information collected through the App for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data or use Meta Horizon platform data to create advertising profiles.

The App uses local device or browser storage to persist an installation identifier across sessions. We use it for service operation, troubleshooting and security, and not for advertising or cross-app tracking.

### Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, taking into account the nature of the data, the purpose of processing, service-operation and security needs, debugging requirements, fraud-prevention needs, legal and accounting obligations, and applicable limitation periods.

Routine technical and diagnostic logs are ordinarily retained only for as long as needed for service operation, troubleshooting and security monitoring. Entitlement and transaction-status records may be retained for longer where necessary to administer access, address refunds or disputes, investigate abuse, or meet legal and accounting requirements. Issue reports and support correspondence are retained for as long as needed to resolve the issue and manage reasonable follow-up, after which they are deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

Where Meta Horizon User Data or Device User Data is no longer needed for an authorised purpose, or where deletion is required following a valid user request, loss or deletion of the relevant account or application access, an applicable Meta instruction, or applicable law, we delete or anonymise it without undue delay, subject only to retention required by law or otherwise permitted under applicable Meta developer requirements.

### How to request deletion of your data

You may ask V-Nova to delete personal data associated with your use of ImmersiX. This deletion option is available to users regardless of where they live.

To request deletion, email <legal@v-nova.com> and state that your request concerns “ImmersiX Meta Horizon data deletion”. If Meta forwards a deletion request to us, we use the app-scoped Meta user identifier associated with that request to locate the linked backend and session records. If you contact us directly, we may ask for information reasonably necessary to locate the relevant records and verify the request. Do not send your Meta password or payment credentials.

After verifying the request where necessary, we will delete or anonymise personal data in our control that is associated with you, unless we are required by applicable law, or otherwise permitted under applicable Meta developer requirements, to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, transaction-record or accounting purposes. Where retention is required, the retained data will remain subject to appropriate protections and will not be used for incompatible purposes.

Deleting the App from your device does not by itself necessarily delete server-side technical records immediately. If you want V-Nova to delete personal data that may be associated with your use of the Service, use the deletion process above. Deleting your Meta account is governed separately by Meta.

### Your privacy rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access to personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, portability of certain data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection supervisory authority. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to that processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Because the App does not require separate ImmersiX login credentials, we may need additional information to identify the relevant records and verify that a request is genuine. We will only request information reasonably necessary for that purpose.

UK users may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Users in the EEA may complain to the supervisory authority in the country where they live or work, or where the alleged infringement occurred.

### Children and age-related use

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over (or any higher minimum age that applies in your country) and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data directly from children under 13 through the App.

The App uses Meta's Age Category API and may process the resulting age-category signal only as needed to apply age-related controls, provide an age-appropriate experience, comply with applicable requirements and protect younger users. Parents and guardians should supervise use by minors where appropriate.

### Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. These measures include access controls, security monitoring, appropriate contractual controls for service providers and measures intended to reduce the amount of personal data processed. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we review our safeguards in light of the nature of the Service and the information processed.

### Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, Service, Meta Horizon platform features, our providers, legal requirements or our privacy practices. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, for example through the App, the Store listing or another appropriate channel. The date shown at the top indicates when this policy was last updated.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.v-nova.com/technologies/immersix/immersix-privacy-policy-for-meta-horizon-store.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
