ImmersiX Privacy Policy for Apple Store
Privacy information for the ImmersiX application and streaming service.
Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how V-Nova Services Limited (V-Nova, we, us or our) processes information in connection with the ImmersiX application (App) and the streaming service made available through it (Service). V-Nova Services Limited is the data controller for the purposes of the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where applicable, the EU GDPR. V-Nova Limited is a company registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at Level 2, 20 Eastbourne Terrace, London W2 6LG, United Kingdom.
Account position and the basic privacy model
The App is designed to operate without requiring you to create a separate ImmersiX user account. We do not ask you to register with us using your name or email address in order to browse or stream content in the App. Apple handles your Apple ID account, billing and payment processing for Apple in-app purchases. We do not collect or receive your payment-card or bank details for those Apple transactions. Although the App is designed not to require a separate ImmersiX account, we do process certain technical, entitlement, usage, security and diagnostic information in order to operate, protect and improve the Service. Depending on the circumstances, some of that information may constitute personal data under applicable law even if it does not directly identify you by name. We do not use information collected through the App for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.
Information we process
The categories of information we process may include the following:
Apple-origin purchase, entitlement and transaction-status information needed to manage access to paid titles.
Technical and operational usage data, including app-open events, title access, play requests, session timing and streaming duration.
Performance and diagnostic information, including connection quality, latency, bandwidth, streaming quality metrics and error data.
Device-level, app-scoped, transaction-linked or similar technical identifiers and security or abuse- prevention signals used to run and protect the service.
Optional issue-report content and related support correspondence where you choose to submit it.
Information from Apple and purchase status information
When you purchase paid content through Apple in-app purchase, Apple processes the payment transaction. We may receive and process Apple-origin purchase, entitlement and transaction-status information that is necessary to verify access, administer entitlements, understand sales performance, investigate issues and respond to refunds or invalidated transactions. We are also not responsible for disclosing data collected directly by Apple in its own capacity. This policy covers information processed by or for V-Nova in connection with the App and Service.
Information generated by app and service use
When you launch the App or stream content, the App and related backend systems may process technical and operational information such as app-open events, service checks, device-level or app- scoped identifiers, title or content identifiers, play requests, session start and end times, streaming duration, entitlement status, session success or failure, connection quality, latency, bandwidth, streaming quality metrics, error codes and related diagnostics. We may use this information to detect abuse, including unreasonable use of free titles, misuse of entitlements, security incidents and refund-related invalidation.
Optional issue reports and support requests
If the App provides an issue-reporting function and you choose to use it, we may process the text you submit together with technical context such as app version, device model, title, timestamp, session or error references and similar diagnostics to investigate the issue. If you contact us through an external support channel, we will also process the contact information and correspondence you provide.
Infrastructure and third-party service providers
The Service depends on infrastructure and technical service providers to deliver streaming, operate systems, monitor performance and support the App. Those providers may process connection and technical delivery data on our behalf. We may also use integrated analytics, crash, monitoring or similar tools in the App or backend environment. Our App Store privacy disclosures and this policy should be kept aligned with the final engineering data map for those tools.
How we use information
We use the information described above to provide the Service and stream content, verify entitlements and purchase status, operate and secure the App and backend systems, detect abuse, fraud and misuse, investigate faults and user-reported issues, monitor performance and improve reliability, analyse usage and service performance; enforce our terms and rights restrictions, and comply with legal, regulatory and platform obligations.
Legal bases
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we generally rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract, where processing is needed to provide the App or paid-title access you request; legitimate interests, where processing is needed to operate, secure, support and improve the Service and prevent abuse; and legal obligation, where we must process information to comply with law or an enforceable legal request.
Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell your personal data. We may share relevant information with service providers acting on our behalf, professional advisers, corporate group entities involved in operating the Service, law enforcement or regulatory bodies where required by law, and counterparties involved in enforcing rights or responding to disputes. Information may be processed in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for restricted international transfers.
Retention
We keep information for no longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, taking into account the nature of the data, the purpose of processing, security and abuse- prevention needs, debugging needs, legal and accounting requirements, and any applicable limitation periods. Retention periods vary depending on the category of information and the operational, security, legal and accounting needs that apply to it. Routine technical and diagnostic logs are ordinarily kept only for as long as reasonably needed for service operation, debugging and security monitoring; entitlement and transaction-status records may be kept for longer where needed to administer access, address refunds, investigate abuse or meet legal and accounting requirements; issue reports and support correspondence are kept for as long as needed to resolve the issue and manage any follow-up, after which they are deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because the App does not require a separate ImmersiX account, we may need additional information from you in order to identify the relevant records and verify that a request is genuine. There is no separate in-app account to delete. If you wish to exercise privacy rights in relation to data processed by V-Nova, you can contact us using the details below.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data directly from children under 13 through the App. Parents and guardians should supervise use by minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, for example through the App or by other appropriate means. The effective date shown at the top indicates when this policy was last updated.
